About Dane

Dr. Dane Lyman is a Blanding, Utah boy to the core. He was born in raised in Blanding to parents Phil and Jody Lyman and has developed a deep love for his hometown which makes him, and us, excited to be serving the community that he cares about.

Dr. Lyman started his career as a student at Brigham Young University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in French Studies. He then went to the University of Central Florida for Medical School and fulfilled his goal of becoming a Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Lyman came back to his home state and completed his Residence at the McKay-Dee Family Practice in Ogden, Utah where he received training on a wide spectrum and focused his energy in rural medicine.

Blue Mountain Hospital is glad that Dr. Dane Lyman has come back home to Blanding working with us. He brings proficiency and wisdom to family medicine that is going to have a positive impact on all of our patients. Dr. Lyman is passionate about working with a wide breadth of patients from pediatric to geriatric and everyone in between. He enjoys working in our Labor and Delivery ward and is highly trained in c-sections. You can also find Dr. Lyman working in the fast-paced emergency room. 

Dr. Dane Lyman shares his life with his wife and five children. They enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and mountain biking in the beautiful San Juan County.
